Matthew Kruger: Experience for the Next Level

With all the gadgets, equipment and gear available to consumers today, have you ever wondered why we need recording studios?  Ask any musician who has seriously tried to record themselves and the answer becomes very clear. You can buy the equipment but you can’t buy the experience a professional, trained engineer can bring to your sound.

Matthew Kruger has been in the music business for over 20 years. He began as a lead guitarist for a regional band and quickly progressed into audio engineering and audio recording. Matt’s audio recording experience started with the foundation of training he received from studying Music and Pensacola Junior College in Pensacola and Audio Recording at Okaloosa Walton Community College in Niceville.  This training coupled with Matt’s years of audio experience provides a wealth of resources for any musician.

Matt has provided live audio support for many local venues including Springfest, the Greater Good Festival, the Ready Room and Greenfest. He also has experience in live monitor mixes at national festivals including the King Biscuit Blues Festival and the Memphis State Fair. These experiences have allowed him to work with many local, regional and national groups.

Matt currently works as a regional stagehand for various national events and tours where he works setting up and tearing down audio, video and staging for National artists who appear on the Gulf Coast. He also volunteered for 6 years for the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola and 2 years for the Bay Revival in Mobile as the live TV Audio Engineer. This experience has given him opportunities to work with worldwide live TV broadcasts, National and International Speakers and National Recording Artists.

For the past 15 years Matt and his wife (Trish) have owned and managed REX Recording Studio in Pace, FL. Through managing the studio Matt has gained knowledge on producing, mixing and recording many different styles of music.

Matt’s experiences have given him the opportunity to work with musicians of different levels. He is able to show the novice how to progress and he is able to polish the professional.  If you are a musician, you’ve probably tried to record yourself at least once. The cost and time involved in recording yourself is rarely worth the end product. An experienced engineer like Matthew Kruger of REX Recording Studio can work with your sound to take your music to the next level.

If you’d like to work with Matt you can contact him at (850) 623-4739.
